Our Story
YEGHVARD SPORT SHOES FACTORY was built in 1985-1987, and began its production activities since 04/01/1987. – on the basis of the supplement to the License Agreement No. 73/78817, signed between the company “ADIDAS” and the All-Union Association “Licensintorg” dated on 07/18/1985 with the aim to produce sports shoes (several models approved: “Olympia-88”, “Brest”, “Tennis-Comfort”, “Return-Comfort” and “Brussels”) at the Yeghvard factory in the Republic of Armenia. On the basis of the License Agreement of the USSR State Planning Commission, the USSR Ministry of Commerce allocated appropriate freely convertible currencies for purchase from foreign companies, and through the All-Union associations Tekhnopromimport, Stankoimport, Ecoportlen, Tech-Mashimport and others – a complete set of equipment for the production of sports shoes’ different models with the necessary accessories, with a capacity of up to 200 thousand pairs per year.
